Canonization on April 27, 2025

We look forward to seeing many of you this April in Rome for the Jubilee of persons who are Deaf! 

We were delighted to learn about the Canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis. An Italian teenager who died from leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15. He is known as the "cyber-apostle" and the "Millennial Saint" because he was born between the early 1980s and late 1990s. Acutis is known for his love of the Eucharist and for promoting the faith among his peers. He is also the first saint to be canonized for intentionally using the internet for evangelism. 

Acutis' canonization will take place during the Jubilee Year of Hope, making it a historic event. It will also represent the first millennial saint, which could inspire more faith among young people. 

This very happy event will take place while we are all in Rome! April 27th at 10:30 am. Stay tuned for how we will meet to be able to sit together to be able to watch the interpreters. Details to be posted shortly.

Each group will be making their own arrangements for the Pilgrimage. The Vatican is organizing the gatherings for Persons who are Deaf and those living with Disability. April 28- 30, 2025
