Take part in the
INTERNATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS
in Dublin, Ireland,
A Deaf Track will be an important part of the Congress.
June 2012

Archbishop Diarmuid Martin this morning gave his catechesis to young members of the International Deaf Community at World Youth Day in Madrid.
Speaking briefly at the invitation of the Archbishop, Fr. Kevin Doran (Secretary General of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress) invited the young people present to come to Ireland for the Congress.
He announced that, following discussions with the International Catholic Foundation for the Service of Deaf Persons, it has been agreed that there will be a full deaf track at next year’s Congress, including six workshops facilitated by the Foundation and signed for the deaf.
"You are welcome twice over" Fr. Doran said "You are welcome as young people and you are welcome as deaf people." He also encouraged young people from the Irish deaf community to sign up for the Congress Volunteer Programme.
